Why hire me?
I have a deep passion for writing and I have diligently pursued a career in the field, moving from content creation, becoming a contributor and then on to writer-cum- editor of a leading Kenyan newspaper as well as a prestigious regional travel magazine.
My role in these organizations has exposed me to key skill areas such as interviewing, proofreading, sourcing leads, and creative storytelling. These experiences have also honed my written and spoken communication skills and with a keen eye for detail – I leave little margin for error.
I gravitate towards writing about socio-economic issues affecting the region with topics ranging from education, religion, technology, human rights, and business and have also been involved in entertainment and lifestyle.
Along with writing for print, I have written for online media extensively, making use of SEO and SEM for maximum reach and traffic. I would do my best to be an asset to the company, using my previous experience of social media management where my business and marketing educational background has been a solid base for on-the-job learning and acquisition of key skills.
Ever since I started working in the field of social media marketing and content creation, I have aimed to become an innovative & effective brand storyteller, with a focus on the message to be disseminated as well as the purpose of such communications.
